Shasta

This is Shasta on the last pheasant trip, she has become one of Andrew's favorite hunting dogs.
Shasta in our opinion is almost a perfect Vizsla female.  She is beautiful with good structure and color.  She is a great huntress and is such a sweet dog.  I can't imagine a better bred or quality Vizsla.
Shasta is a wonderful combination.  She is incredibly sweet and a very natural hunter.  Give her a little attention and she loves you for life.  She has now had 1 litter and produced healthy pups.  She did very well for her first time and is going to be a great Momma.
One of the best things about Shasta is that not only is she beautiful and sweet, but she has all the makings for a great bird dog.  She is currently pointing the cat (above), but she spends a lot of her time pointing and keeping an eye on every bird around.  (Don't worry, the dogs have never hurt the cat :D)
Shasta is so curious and again loves watching the birds.  There are many that fly around out the back winding and she is always on the watch.  Vizsla's are actually fairly easy to train and make pretty good house dogs. Shasta was never trained to be inside, but was zero trouble when we had her inside during her first litter.
